Finnish police receives Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake 350 CDI 4MATIC [video]

Offered by Tekniikan Maailma magazine

Finland’s police authorities have received a brand new Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake 350 CDI 4MATIC.

At the beginning of the year, local magazine Tekniikan Maailma (World of Technology) asked its readers which person or institution should receive a new car and they also wanted to know what type of model would be the most appropriate. This interesting inquiry was as part of the magazine’s 60th anniversary.

The readers placed their votes and selected the police force is the most suitable entity to receive the gift, specifically the traffic control unit. The chosen car was a Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake 350 CDI 4MATIC considered to be the most compatible vehicle for that department.

The car is certainly up to the task thanks to its V6 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine delivering 262 bhp (195 kW) and 457 lb-ft (620 Nm) of torque which grants the vehicle with a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 6.7 seconds and an electronically-capped top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). Aside from being a quick and practical car, the CLS Shooting Brake 350 CDI remains quite economical as it can return 35.6 mpg US (42.8 mpg UK or 6.6 liters / 100 km).
