There’s a reason why ABT Sportsline is one of our favorite auto tuners in the world. The German company knows how to make programs that improve the cars they work on without going overboard with the modifications. It takes a specific set of skills to do that and ABT has it down path. Its new program for the Volkswagen Scirocco is living proof of that.
The two-fold modification is made up of an extensive aero kit and an impressive performance bump that breathes new life to the Scirocco. That’s not an easy thing to pull off and yet ABT Sportsline does with the ease of a tuner that knows what it’s doing.
Other tuners may promise the same things and yet fail to live up to all the expectations they set. That’s never been the case with ABT Sportsline. Over the years, it’s produced one impressive program after another. And as long as it can build kits like this for the Volkswagen Scirocco, there’s no reason for us to start doubting their tuning capabilities.
Not that we ever did because if we haven’t said it enough, we’ll say it again.

Spa-Francorchamps is one of the most challenging motor-racing circuits you will find in the Formula One Belgian Grand Prix. It measures 4.352 miles and features 20 turns. The current record at the track is held by Sebastian Vettel who lapped it back in 2009 in 1:47.263.
This challenging circuit was the perfect place for the BAC Mono to prove what it is capable of. This test comes just a few days after the Mono managed to smash Top Gear’s test track record with a time of 1:14.3, thereby bettering the times of all but the 720-horsepower Pagani Huayra.
The two BAC Monos running at Spa were driven by Ron Simons, who was almost unbeatable in wet conditions at Spa for years and TV personality Sabine Schmitz.

The brand-new BMW M3 is only one month away from going on sale in the United States, but it appears that the German manufacturer is still working on those final track adjustments. Late last month, no less than three BMW M3s were caught on film while being hooned on the iconic Nurburgring track and the footage has finally surfaced the Internet.
It isn’t clear whether or not BMW is still developing the car’s ability to stay glued to the asphalt, while taking both fast and slow turns, but this three-minute video is bound to keep potential customers on their toes. In fact, it doesn’t matter if the new M3 is on your list or not, this is a spectacle you can’t miss.
As a brief reminder, the 2014 BMW M3 will hit U.S. dealerships with a turbocharged 3.0-liter, inline-six engine under the hood. The sedan (the coupe is now sold as the M4) benefits from 425 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. Two transmissions are available, a standard six-speed manual and an optional seven-speed automatic.
The vehicle starts from $62,000 and has enough boxes on the options list to take a well-equipped model into $70,000 territory.

Case in point, this 2014 911 Turbo painted in a unique shade dubbed Lime Gold Metallic. The paint, however is only the starting point with this car. Blacked-out bi-xenon headlights and clear taillights, along with a deeper tint on the windows help move this 911 further away from normalcy.
Inside the story is much the same. The owner wanted everything finished in a deep chocolate brown contrasted by seats finished in the same Lime Gold Metallic hue the exterior is treated to. Talk about melting in your mouth…

Zero to 60 mph times are laughably quick at 3.2 second, while the quarter-mile will likely scare you as the 3,500-pound car rockets past the line in a hair’s breath over 10 seconds. Phenomenal.

What do the Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series, Jaguar XKR-S GT and Aston Martin V12 Vantage S have in common? Pretty much nothing at a first look: one comes from Germany, two from the UK; one gets a supercharged V-8, one a V12 and one a naturally aspirated V-8 engine.
Still, the guys over the British magazine AutoCar wanted to see how the three cars will behave one next to the other and prepared a very cool test drive. From the beginning Autocar’s judge Steve Sutcliffe admits that the C63 AMG Black Series is his favorite super coupe is the C63 AMG Black Series and wants to see if the other two are powerful or delicate enough to unseat it and make him change his mind.

Back in October we reported that SRT needed to slow production of the new generation Viper, due to poor demand. However, it looks like now Ralph Gilles, president and CEO of Chrysler’s SRT Brand and Motorsports, says that the car has indeed a bright future and that the company has “several hundred units outstanding we still have to build.”
Gilles said that the Viper indeed had some problems at launch and this is why the company had to postpone initial deliver, but now the interest in the new Viper is very strong.
It looks like the problem was not the car, but the dealers whom had no idea how to promote the car. The new Viper has a base price of $97,395 – a lot more than the previous car, so it was to be expected to hear that customers will ask more for the money. SRT wants to allow its customers to choose “their color, their stripe, their package, their interior,” but the dealers wanted to “anticipate the market and ended up creating a car that may not be the right car.”
To fix the problem SRT launched a fourth-quarter training program called “All Access Tour” that brings together dealers, current owners and potential customers. Basically thanks to this new program, the potential buyers will have the chance to test the car and see what they will get for the money.
Gilles confirmed that all the Anodized Carbon were spoken for and that the new Time Attack edition sold out in just three days.

Jay Leno’s clout in the auto industry is well established. That’s one of the perks of being a certified car enthusiast but in the comedian’s case, automakers trip over themselves to get featured in his own auto web show series, Jay Leno’s Garage.
Recently, Jaguar took its turn and it brought along its latest pride and joy, the Jaguar F-Type V8 S. Eric Johnson, vice president of Jaguar Western Region, presented the car to Leno and true to the script, the pair began by talking about the car before Leno does what he seemingly always does: take the F-Type V8 S for a spin. Obviously, a car of the F-Type V8 S’ stature deserves to have some kind of special attention given to it and Leno was quick to point out how impressed he was with its 5.0-liter V-8 engine that produces 495 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
In addition to the F-Type V-8 S, the episode also featured Leno’s drive of another one of Jaguar’s recent builds: the Project 7 Concept. Like we said, this guy really gets all the treats, doesn’t he?

Do you remember the 997 Turbo BTR-II 650 EVO SpeedArt unveiled back n 2010? Today the same tuner turned its attention to the BTR-II package one more time and came up with a new version. This time around, the kit is called BTR-II 600 EVO Ultra Edition and unfortunately, it is a little bit less powerful than the first edition, but one benefit it that the tuner applied the kit to a convertible model.
This tuning kit pushes the Porsche’s engine to 600 horsepower – 50 horsepower less than the BTR-II 650 EVO model. To achieve this output level, the tuner installed its Powerkit III system, a sports exhaust system with a sound switch, 200-cell sports catalytic converter and 84 mm tailpipes. Peak torque was also increased to 590 pound-feet. This represents a significant increase over the base 500 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque delivered by the 997 Turbo.
Next to the extra power, the BTR-II 600 EVO Ultra Edition received an adjustable sport suspension with PASM and air lift for more ground clearance and a meaner appearance.

Mini added a Coupe version to its lineup at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show and put it on sale in the North American market in early 2012. Since then, the model remained pretty much unchanged and so it will for the 2014 model year.
The new Mini Coupe was previewed by the Coupe Concept that Mini unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show and it is based on the Mini Cabriolet. However, unlike the cabriolet, the Coupe offers just two seats on the inside, so customers can enjoy increased trunk space when compared to the Mini Cabriolet.
Despite being a tiny city car and the Gran Turismo-styled rear end, the 2014 Coupe will be intimately distinguished as a Mini model, thanks to its standard headlights and grille.
As with the previous model years, customers can choose between three different versions: Cooper, Cooper S and John Cooper Works.
