Chrysler Stow ‘n Go seat patent photo
Should allow for easier folding
Chrysler has been relatively quiet about the 2015 Town & Country / Dodge Grand Caravan but a recent patent filling suggests the models could feature improved Stow ‘n Go seats.
Looking instantly recognizable, the seats have a number of improvements that promise to make them easier to hide under the floor. The first change will enable owners to fold the rear seats down without having to move the front seats forward. Furthermore, the seat compartment cover is broken up into two separate doors which should allow for easy access to the under floor storage compartment when the seat is up.
A Chrysler spokesperson declined to comment on the patent but the filling says the improved seats could be used on crossovers and vans.
Following a preview earlier this month, the Dubai Police have officially unveiled their new McLaren MP4-12C.
Set showcase the wealth and stature of the United Arab Emirates, the “Super Patrol Car” features a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine that develops 625 HP (460 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. It enables the coupe to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and hit a top speed of 329 km/h (204 mph).

What do the Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series, Jaguar XKR-S GT and Aston Martin V12 Vantage S have in common? Pretty much nothing at a first look: one comes from Germany, two from the UK; one gets a supercharged V-8, one a V12 and one a naturally aspirated V-8 engine.
Still, the guys over the British magazine AutoCar wanted to see how the three cars will behave one next to the other and prepared a very cool test drive. From the beginning Autocar’s judge Steve Sutcliffe admits that the C63 AMG Black Series is his favorite super coupe is the C63 AMG Black Series and wants to see if the other two are powerful or delicate enough to unseat it and make him change his mind.
Check out the video to see if Sutcliffe changes his mind, or if the Mercedes sports coupe remains his favorite car!

GM investing $1.3 billion in Michigan
By Kevin Davis on Thursday, December 19th, 2013
General Motors will invest $1.3-billion in Michigan plants, Detroit Free Press reports.
The investment will create about 1,000 jobs, the newspaper said.
The expansion plans include $600 million for a paint shop at the Flint truck assembly plant; $493 million for a new 10-speed transmission at the Romulus Powertrain plant; and $121 million at the Detroit-Hamtramck plant where workers assemble the Chevrolet Malibu, Impala and Volt.
The 2014 Corvette Stingray is the Most Fuel-Efficient Sports Car on the Market
The Corvette Stingray has been getting a lot of hype around here, but for good reason. It will be the fastest production Corvette yet to be made, it’s starring in Transformers 4, and now it’s also going to deliver an EPA-estimated 17 miles per gallon in the city, and 29 MGP on the highway. These statistics make the new Corvette Stingray the most fuel-efficient sports car on the market. No other vehicle offers a driver more than 455 horsepower at the touch of a pedal while still maintaining 29 MPG on highway driving.
The lighter, faster, more focused and coupe-only V10 Plus sits at the top of the new 2013 Audi R8 range. There’s no ‘Plus’ badging, but it’s easy to spot one thanks to its carbonfibre splitter, door-mirror shells, side-blades and rear diffuser. It can also be had in a unique Sepang Blue satin paint finish, while gloss black wheels are standard. It costs 127,575.
The R8 Plus’s 5.2-litre engine develops an extra 24bhp and 7lb ft to raise power and torque to 542bhp and 398lb ft over the standard V10. The motor feels creamy smooth yet has a wonderful sense of crazy ferocity as you work towards the 8000rpm red line, the quattro four-wheel-drive digging in hard. With Sport mode engaged it sounds magnificent, hollering and whooping under hard acceleration, then popping and gargling as you brake and downshift. With the seven-speed S-tronic twin-clutch gearbox tested here, 0-62mph takes just 3.5sec (a tenth quicker than the regular V10 R8) while the top speed is 197mph.
Debuting at the 2013 New York auto show, Chevrolet’s 2014 Camaro refresh consists of three or four relatively minor changes. But that simple statement isn’t quite fair to the people behind the bow-tie pony car. Just last year, Chevy upgraded the interiors of the entire Camaro lineup, upgraded dampers and anti-roll bars on V-8-powered models to reduce understeer, and introduced the SS 1LE package and the ZL1 convertible. Besides, the Camaro team probably had its hands full engineering the all-new 500-hp, LS7-powered Z/28 that also dropped in the Big Apple.
American high-performance vehicle manufacturer Saleen Automotive has officially unveiled its latest offering: the Saleen 351 Mustang.
Armed with a 5.75-litre (351 cubic inch) supercharged V8 that makes 522kW and a ground-pounding 887Nm of torque, the 2014 Saleen 351 Mustang is the company’s most extreme Mustang to date.
The engine itself features forged aluminium pistons, high-performance valve springs and new fuel injectors and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. There’s also a high-performance clutch with a lightweight flywheel.
On the handling side, Saleen adds a sports suspension package that includes new shocks, springs, struts and stabiliser bars.
With a starting price of $127,900, the 2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe asserts itself as the flagship of BMW’s M performance division. And yeah, ’tis a lofty perch.
Monarchs must wield power and the M6 flaunts a prodigious 560 hp and 500 lb-ft from its twin-turbo, direct-injection, 4.4L V8. In its press material BMW states the rear-drive M6 Gran Coupe “features the most powerful engine ever fitted to an M production car”. While true, this semantic trickery is a tad misleading as the same engine powers the M5 sedan, M6 Coupe and M6 Cabriolet, and showed up in those cars first.
The H3 is HUMMER’s midsize SUV and the third model in the vehicle lineup. Based on the Chevrolet Colorado pickup platform, the H3 is designed to deliver authentic HUMMER style and off-road capability in a smaller, more fuel-efficient package. For 2008 the H3 Alpha was added to the lineup featuring a unique look and a more powerful engine. The OnStar advanced communication system is standard on the Hummer H3
Mercedes & Pebble smartwatch 20.12.2013
Because smartphones are so last year
Mercedes and Pebble have forged a strategic partnership that paves the way for Mercedes to “develop innovative integrated applications” for the Pebble smartwatch.
Details are limited but Mercedes says the partnership will give them early access to the latest software and hardware created by Pebble. Mercedes sees this as increasingly important as intelligently connected vehicles offer a number of benefits to consumers.
As a result, Mercedes has updated their Digital DriveStyle app to enable it to communicate with Pebble smartwatches. The resulting system will be unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show but Mercedes says it will enable users to view important information – such as fuel level, door-lock status and vehicle location – by just glancing at their watch. The company also says the app could alert drivers to upcoming obstacles – such as accidents and road construction – by vibrating the watch while the owner is driving.
Mercedes McLaren SLR Roadster by Famous Parts
Features minor upgrades
Famous Parts has introduced their new Mercedes McLaren SLR Roadster.
Modestly revised, the SLR has been equipped with a KW adjustable suspension and 20- / 21-inch ADV.1 5.2 MV2 SL wheels with a brushed silver finish. The company also plans on installing a tailor-made titanium exhaust system but there’s no word on whether or not it will result in any performance gains.
As a refresher, the SLR features a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 engine that develops 626 HP (460 kW) and 780 Nm (575 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a five-speed transmission which enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 332 km/h (206 mph).
