The six-wheeled Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG is beyond ridiculous – either in a good or bad way, depending on your specific taste. Based on the 2014 G-Class, but with a host of upgrades, the 6×6 has five differentials, a $615,000 price tag, and off-road credentials that would make an original Army-spec Hummer H1 go weak in the knees. This isn’t stopping Carlsson, a well-known and popular Mercedes-Benz tuner, from upping the game even more, combining a healthy power upgrade along with special, customized interior trimmings to make the G63 AMG 6×6 even more over-the-top, if that’s possible.
The G-Class lineup is already a venerable, capable, and trendy offering, with record-breaking sales. This is impressive, considering this is basically a platform from 1979. That’s right; other than chassis and styling upgrades – along with plenty of modern, Mercedes-Benz luxury added in – you’re looking at an almost 40-year-old design.
Add another $500,000 in off-road hardware and upgrades, and things are bound to get interesting. But that’s just not enough for Carlsson.

At the 2013 Auto Shanghai, Mercedes unveiled the GLA Concept – the initial preview for the company’s fifth SUV. Just a few months after, the production GLA will make its world debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The production GLA-Class is built on the same front-wheel-drive architecture that features transversely mounted engines as the new-generation A-Class and B-Class. From the A-Class, the new GLA also borrows its engine lineup, but U.S. customers will only have one variant, the GLA250, which is offered in standard front-wheel drive and optional 4MATIC.
On the U.S. market, the model will be put on sale in the fall of 2014.

It’s been only a month since the first report about the next-generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class surfaced the Interwebz, and it appears the Germans have already began working on the redesigned sedan. The big news comes via our spy photographers stationed in Germany, who have spotted a strange-looking mule near the Nurburgring track.
We say “strange-looking” because the vehicle depicted in the images we just received in our inbox is a half-camouflaged C-Class that’s not exactly the compact sedan we’re already familiar with. It might look like a regular C-Class at first glance, but a closer inspection reveals the body is longer and wider than it should be. What’s more, the engine is stuffed under a longer hood and the wheel arches hidden under the swirly wrap are slightly beefier.
This leads us to believe we’re actually looking at the next-generation E-Class, which we expect to arrive for the 2017 model year. Although it’s at least two years away, we’re not at all surprised to see it on public streets already. The sedan is in for a brand-new platform and a host of new technologies, all of which require months, if not years, of development and testing.

Edo Competition has made a business out of building aftermarket programs for some of the finest European cars in the world. But it’s been a while since the German tuner developed a program for a Mercedes, let alone the obnoxious G63 AMG. But we work in an industry of surprises, so by essence, Edo’s new program for the high-powered utility really is a welcome addition.
If it’s power you’re looking for, the Mercedes G63 AMG has you covered. Still, some vehicles can’t have enough of it, and Edo Competition has that covered.
That’s par for the course for an aftermarket specialist like Edo Competition. It’s built an impressive lineup of programs that have turned sports cars into supercars. Just ask the Porsche 911 Turbo S, the BMW M5, and yes, even the mighty Ferrari Enzo.
This program for the G63 AMG is another feather in the tuner’s cap that’s already full of it. Or as some would call it, just another day in the life of Edo Competition.

Along with the mighty SLS Final Edition, Mercedes is also displaying a bad-ass GLA concept car at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. Dubbed the GLA 45 AMG Concept car, this sweet compact crossover previews a new high-performance SUV coming from Germany.
The concept is powered by the same AMG 2.0-liter turbocharged engine found in some of its closest relatives, like CLA 45 AMG or A45 AMG. This petite powerhouse puts 360 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque into an AMG 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system via an AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT seven-speed sports transmission. This combination teams up to deliver a stellar 0-to-60 mph sprint time of under 5 seconds and a thrifty 33 mpg.
Lest you believe that Mercedes would stop at the engine, it also installed the staple AMG body kit to help give the crossover some aesthetic credentials to go along with its peppy four-pot. This kit includes an AMG front apron with a large front splitter, and large air intakes, a “twin-blade” radiator grille in silver chrome, side sill panels with high-gloss black inserts, and around back, a set of black roof rails and a large rooftop spoiler.

We have known that Mercedes was preparing a coupe version for the next generation S-Class for quite some time now, but this is the first time we have actually caught the car out for a testing session. The car was spotted at a Mercedes facility, and as you can see, it is in a stage of camouflage that we normally never see on a Mercedes prototype.
With this kind of camouflage, Mercedes is trying to hide the stunning shape of the new car, but it is pretty clear the body will look wide and muscular. Also, you can see the rear lights are placed horizontally, giving the impression of an even wider body. When viewed from the side, the future S-Class looks a little like a Chevrolet Camaro, very powerful but still very timeless.
The next S-Class Coupe will share platform and drivetrains with the upcoming S-Class and will, of course, be stuffed with all the new technical features already announced for the S-Class.
Expect the new S-Class Coupe to be unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show and hit the market for the 2015 model year.

More details about the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG are emerging day by day, having been showed to the public at the Detroit Motor Show, new reports from CarandDriver show that the E63 AMG will be offered in a business line option too, which will only be available in Europe.
AMG’s CEO Ola K llenius confirmed details on the Business Line option, this option will only be available from the AMG Performance Studio and will include downgrading exterior features announced for the E63 AMG, these include the aggressive looks turningit to a regular E-Class but most of all is the removal of the quad exhaust setup.
However, this does not mean that the performance will be compromised, the E63 AMG Business Line option will still retain the twin-turbo V8 5.5 liter engine producing 557hp and 720Nm of torque.
Thanks to our German friends at Autobild.de, we now have some information on the 2015 Mercedes Benz GLG-Class. In fact, it is enough information to create our own rendering of what the the Mini-G will look like.
The Mercedes GLG-Class will be roughly based on the newly announced A-Class and will look like a shrunken version of the utilitarian, yet luxurious, G-Class.
The GLG-Class will be Mercedes’ answer to the small-SUV market, which is dominated by models like the BMW X3 and the Audi Q5. Though Mercedes isn’t planning on marketing this as a true off-road vehicle, it will certainly do the job of crossing pot-holes and small ditches. It’s also for the people that like the boxy, go-anywhere design of the G-Class, but may not be able to afford it.
The Mercedes GLG is one of 10 models that Mercedes plans to unveil before 2020. With the GLG-Class’ release, the number of SUVs in Merc’s lineup will increase to six, including the unannounced GLA crossover in 2013.

As a result, the V8 engine now delivers an impressive 700 HP and 811 lbs-ft of torque.
The Mercedes was also equipped with a newly developed LowMaXX electronic lowering module which automatically switches off at 43 mph in order to provide comfort and safety reserves.
Two years if they built a business for the Mercedes SLS AMG, German tuner Domanig has come out with another package, only that time period, itâs for the SLS AMG Roadster.Even when there isnât any specific aesthetic modifications done in the car, typically the German receiver did use a couple of things available for the SLS Roadster. An example may be the four tires, which Domanig normally takes pride around. For this particular program, the German receiver fitted your SLS Roadster with a new couple of 20″ SOM03 wheels right in front and twisted it throughout 275/30ZR20 Michelin Super Hobby tires. At the back, pre-owned was 21″ DOM06 locomotive’s wheels rapped in 305/25/ZR21 Michelin Super Sport car tires.Moving on to the particular carâs suspension, Domanig further a new KW suspension program that not sole lowers any carâs ride top by Thirty millimeters, but also helps it to be work in combination with the supercarâs traditional Ride Control system.Eventually, Domanig made some engine small adjustments to the SLS Roadster Half a dozen.3-liter V8 engine and even ramped up it truly is output on the standard 571 horsepower to former 600 horses. 620 horsepower, to always be accurate.Entire, the program is without a doubt bereft of the technique other the tuners, but as long as unbridled ability is concerned, them gave is much an added impact.
