There was plenty of new and interesting things to climb the famous hill at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year, but perhaps nothing else hits closer to home than the iconic American pony car in its latest iteration; the 2015 Ford Mustang. With it still months away from hitting dealer showrooms and with no official reviews gracing the glossy pages of magazines or the Interwebz, the Mustang is still a dark horse in terms of third-party information.
But we get just a little closer with this video from Ford of a Mustang GT Coupe barreling up the hay-lined hill. Professional driver Paul Swift (a fitting last name, huh?) takes the wheel of the ‘Stang. Unfortunately, the 5.0-liter’s exhaust is masked by the video’s musical selection. There are a few instances where some burble cuts through, but we’ll wait to reserve judgment on its sound. Then again, Mustangs have always managed to sound amazing, so it’s unlikely we’ll be disappointed.
The video also gives us a good look at the manual transmission’s shifter. It appears to have nice, short throws that are easy to manipulate. We also get a decent look at the interior and its all-new dashboard, and form-fitting Recaro seats.
Sadly, the video is less than a minute long, but there are several good scenes and sequences within. Ford also neglects to publish the Mustang’s time, leaving us to wonder how well it did in what is likely its first-ever public racing event.

My first day being part of the Gumball 3000 rally with team Anastasia Date has been insane. I have seen more Ferraris than I can shake a stick at, there are beautiful women everywhere, and I got to see a Lamborghini Aventador set fire to some bushes with the fireballs it was shooting form its exhaust. Yes, I got video footage of the fireball.
The day started with a quick look around the area before hotel checkout, and then we met up with the girls and headed over to a local import dealer that sells Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and lots of other exotic metal. Then we made it back to Ocean Blvd to see our car get unloaded from the carrier truck.
After all that there was a big dinner, and since Deadmau5 is in the rally, he put on a big concert at the hotel. If you want to see photos of some of the crazy cars and pretty girls, plus watch that Lamborghini fire video, just look after the jump. Sadly I don’t have any photos from the concert.
As a whole, the Gumball 3000 has been an interesting ride. The experience of being immersed in this world of wealth and extravagance has been jarring in the most entertaining way.
But I don’t want to spoil all the fun of the trip just yet. You have to wait for my full piece next week. Until then, enjoy these cool photos and that incredible Lamborghini video.

Spa-Francorchamps is one of the most challenging motor-racing circuits you will find in the Formula One Belgian Grand Prix. It measures 4.352 miles and features 20 turns. The current record at the track is held by Sebastian Vettel who lapped it back in 2009 in 1:47.263.
This challenging circuit was the perfect place for the BAC Mono to prove what it is capable of. This test comes just a few days after the Mono managed to smash Top Gear’s test track record with a time of 1:14.3, thereby bettering the times of all but the 720-horsepower Pagani Huayra.
The two BAC Monos running at Spa were driven by Ron Simons, who was almost unbeatable in wet conditions at Spa for years and TV personality Sabine Schmitz.
Check out the video to see which of the two managed to handle Mono the best.

It certainly goes without saying that there are few automakers in this world that can compete with Bentley’s status as a premier luxury brand. But being identified with luxury isn’t the only thing that Bentley is proud of; the company also has this goal of combining all that class and elegance with technology. So the company developed a new four-minute short film, titled “Intelligent Details,” to specifically showcase how it has achieved blending luxury and technology in one package.
The short film is told through the words of Bentley Director of Design Luc Donckerwolke and Head of Exterior Design Sang Yup Lee. While riding the Mulsanne in the streets of New York, the two describe the company’s goal of offering
“performance that’s compatible with luxury”, something Donckerwolke proudly claims no other auto brand in the world can claim.
The two also talk about a new goal for the company to turn the interior of its vehicles into its own living space that’s largely attributed to a renewed sense of empowering it with interior infotainment technology. This is where the short film comes circle in a really cool way. We’re not going to spoil you the ending of the video, but what Bentley used to develop, create, and edit this four-minute short film certainly may shock you, given its professional quality.

The brand-new BMW M3 is only one month away from going on sale in the United States, but it appears that the German manufacturer is still working on those final track adjustments. Late last month, no less than three BMW M3s were caught on film while being hooned on the iconic Nurburgring track and the footage has finally surfaced the Internet.
It isn’t clear whether or not BMW is still developing the car’s ability to stay glued to the asphalt, while taking both fast and slow turns, but this three-minute video is bound to keep potential customers on their toes. In fact, it doesn’t matter if the new M3 is on your list or not, this is a spectacle you can’t miss.
As a brief reminder, the 2014 BMW M3 will hit U.S. dealerships with a turbocharged 3.0-liter, inline-six engine under the hood. The sedan (the coupe is now sold as the M4) benefits from 425 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. Two transmissions are available, a standard six-speed manual and an optional seven-speed automatic.
The vehicle starts from $62,000 and has enough boxes on the options list to take a well-equipped model into $70,000 territory.

With the death of Paul Walker last year, the certainty of “Fast and Furious 7” continuing was really unknown, but this latest video shows that filming is back underway. A savvy car buff in Abu Dhabi shot this video of the production company shooting some driving scenes for the seventh installment of the F&F franchise.
From this grainy video, it looks like the car in question is a 458 Italia, which is a stark contrast from the imports and classic muscle cars that we are used to seeing in the franchise. Sure, there have been some exotics in the Fast franchise, but rarely did they see this kind of action.
There were no details on the shoot itself, as to when it took place, how long it pasted and if any of the cast was present, but we assume this was a skeleton crew simply shooting a little b-roll to fill some gaps. We’re hoping to see come previews rolling out soon, so stay tuned for those. And until then, enjoy this behind-the-scenes look.

There are always two sides to any rivalry and it was no different in the case of Formula One drivers Niki Lauda and James Hunt.
The two are now the subject of Ron Howard’s latest cinematic masterpiece “Rush,” which is set to hit theaters on September 20th. History will forever attach the names Niki Lauda and James Hunt to “world champions” but equally fitting when talking about these two drivers is the fact that they had one of the sport’s fiercest rivalries.
Howard touches on that in “Rush” and this newest trailer gives us a good look at one of the protagonists in the movie: James Hunt. Played by Chris Hemsworth, Hunt is portrayed as the free-wheeling playboy who epitomized living in the fast line, the perfect foil to the ultra competitive Lauda, who was driven to be the best on track.
This is the farthest thing from “Driven,” folks. “Rush” is shaping up to be a must-watch movie for fans of both drivers and fans of Formula One in general.

Having the chance to see a Porsche 918 Spyder on the road is pretty rare, but YouTube user Marchettino had the opportunity to catch not one, but six of these beasts on the streets of Monaco (AKA the supercar capital). While cruising around Monaco, he stumbled upon a convoy of three 918 Spyder, then when they stopped at the gas station, three more were right behind them. You can only imagine what the six V-8 engines pounding out a combined 5,250 horsepower must have sounded like.
As a reminder, the 918 Spyder combines a 4.6-liter V-8 engine with two electric motors for a total output of 875 horsepower. The supercar can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and up to a top speed of 211 mph.
The model is limited to 918 units and will carry a price tag ranging from 781,155 (about $1million) to 853,155 ($1.1 million) when you also opt for the Weissach package.

What do the Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series, Jaguar XKR-S GT and Aston Martin V12 Vantage S have in common? Pretty much nothing at a first look: one comes from Germany, two from the UK; one gets a supercharged V-8, one a V12 and one a naturally aspirated V-8 engine.
Still, the guys over the British magazine AutoCar wanted to see how the three cars will behave one next to the other and prepared a very cool test drive. From the beginning Autocar’s judge Steve Sutcliffe admits that the C63 AMG Black Series is his favorite super coupe is the C63 AMG Black Series and wants to see if the other two are powerful or delicate enough to unseat it and make him change his mind.

Jay Leno’s clout in the auto industry is well established. That’s one of the perks of being a certified car enthusiast but in the comedian’s case, automakers trip over themselves to get featured in his own auto web show series, Jay Leno’s Garage.
Recently, Jaguar took its turn and it brought along its latest pride and joy, the Jaguar F-Type V8 S. Eric Johnson, vice president of Jaguar Western Region, presented the car to Leno and true to the script, the pair began by talking about the car before Leno does what he seemingly always does: take the F-Type V8 S for a spin. Obviously, a car of the F-Type V8 S’ stature deserves to have some kind of special attention given to it and Leno was quick to point out how impressed he was with its 5.0-liter V-8 engine that produces 495 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
In addition to the F-Type V-8 S, the episode also featured Leno’s drive of another one of Jaguar’s recent builds: the Project 7 Concept. Like we said, this guy really gets all the treats, doesn’t he?

It may have taken longer than expected, but the auction winnerhttp://www.topspeed.com/cars/car-ne… of the Nissan GT-R Bolt Gold finally saw his prized win in the flesh after the car was officially delivered at a special ceremony held in Melbourne, Australia.
Late last year, the bidder put down an astounding $187,000 bid on the two-off GT-R dedicated to Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt with the funds from the auction going to Bolt’s foundation in his native Jamaica. After months of waiting, including what we imagine to be a lot of waking up wishing to see the car in his garage, the new owner of the GT-R Bolt Gold can finally enjoy the car that he paid a princely sum for.
If we were in his position, we’d understand why the wait would’ve been really excruciating. It’s hard enough to wait months on end while your $187,100 is presumably sitting somewhere without you being able to touch the item that you purchased it for.
But we also understand how exciting it must’ve been to finally lay your eyes on the car you waited for so long to see. And the fact that there are only two models of this car in existence – the other one is with Bolt himself – makes it that much sweeter.
We’re just hoping that the proud owner over there in Australia takes good care of his new pride and joy. You waited so long for it, mate. Better make sure it sticks around with you for a long time too.

At the 2010 Paris Auto Show Jaguar showed off the C-X75 concept car, but we’re pretty sure all of you remember that. As all of you also remember, the C-X75 never made it to production.
To remind us once again what a great car the C-X75 could have been, Jaguar unveiled a new video (above) showing that amazing concept car.
The development of the concept car took over 2 years and the result was the most innovative and technologically advanced prototype ever created. The C-X75 pushes every boundary of power, performance and even fuel efficiency.
It was powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbocharged and supercharged engine delivering 502 horsepower. Additionally, it featured two electric motors that added another 390 horsepower. With a combined output of 850 horsepower, the C-X75 could sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds and went up to a top speed of 205 mph.

Back in January, Jaguar announced that its new F-Type sports roadster would be featured in a new video called “Desire,” which is set to be released later this spring. Now the sports car is once again featured in a video, but this time around it is a trailer for a film named “Desire” video.
After these two teasers, we are excited to finally see the full “Desire” film, which was created in collaboration with Ridley Scott Associates.
The film obviously takes place in the desert, where the main character – Clark, played by actor Damian Lewis – delivers cars for a living. He gets into trouble after encountering a mysterious, young woman (Shannyn Sossamon) in the middle of the desert. Alongside them, the video will also star Jordi Moll and music by BRIT award winner Lana Del Rey.

As far as we know, this is the first time an automotive magazine has gotten the chance to review the upcoming BMW i8 hybrid supercar. Evo Magazine’s Harry Metcalfe was invited by BMW to test the upcoming i8 while it was testing in the cold. Of course, he wasn’t allowed to reveal anything on the car’s exterior or interior, but he did provide quite an impressive amount of technical details on the upcoming i8.
The production-version i8 will combine a three-cylinder gasoline engine and an electric motor for a total output of about 400 horsepower. The engine will mate to a new dual-clutch transmission and will sprint the supercar from 0 to 60 mph in just 4 seconds. The i8 will also boast a top speed of 155 mph.

The 2013 Shelby GT500 is already the most powerful GT500 ever launched, thanks to its 662-horsepower powerplant. However, the guys over Lethal Performance also worked on making it the fastest GT500 out there.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Lethal Performance take to task on the GT500, as it did so in mid-2012. This is obviously an update, as the comparison between the launch of last year’s model and this model shows a dramatic difference.
The tuner updated the engine with new camshafts and connecting rods, a modified ECU, a new valvetrain, and new oil coolers. The tuner also installed a new exhaust system and a 4-liter Whipple supercharger kit priced at $5,047. The GT500 has also been equipped with a new set of drag-racing-ready wheels with skinnies up front and a fat pair of slick hanging on the back end.
However, the tuner did not reveal any specifications just yet, but the model already scored an astounding result on the quarter mile. The Shelby GT500 by Lethal Performance ran the straight-line track in just 9.3 seconds at a top speed of 147 mph.
we can’t wait to see the final specifications…

For any Ferrari enthusiast out there, the most amazing car ever launched by the company is no doubt the Testarossa – a car that stole the heart of many of us especially when it appeared in the “Miami Vice” movie.
Petrolicious has prepared an awesome tribute video to the Testarossa that proves the supercar deserves even more respect than you probably have imagined. Yes, we do know many of you consider the Lamborghini Countach to be a better “supercar,” but we are pretty sure you are going to change your mind after watching this video – or maybe at least accept the Testarossa a worthy adversary.
The car featured in this video belongs to vintage car collector, Joe Ventura, a man lucky enough to live daily with this beautiful redhead next to him.
This also makes us wonder is Ferrari would ever consider bringing the Testarossa back. What a joyous day that would be.

Only the most hardened of auto enthusiasts understand the business of auto detailing. It’s a job that’s best left to those who clearly have an appreciation on the aesthetic side of a vehicle and those that don’t fully grasp that often disregard just how difficult and damaging this job is.
Larry Kosilla of Ammo NYC always wanted to be one of the foremost experts in auto detailing. And to prove his position in the business, Kosilla shows us all the details of detailing and restoration. He even picked quite a car for this: a Ferrari 288 GTO.
Despite not having the benefits of proper lighting and the restrictions on space, Kosilla managed to take us through a quick crash course on the art of detailing and restoration. It’s the kind of job that only gets its proverbial shine when people notice how it’s done. By the sheer skill Kosilla displayed in not messing up such a delicate exotic, the man certainly earned his keep as one of the finest detailers we’ve seen in a while.

Of all the Top Gear cast members, there’s no denying that the most mysterious of them is the man in the white helmet and jumpsuit. The man people affectionately call the Stig.
Unlike Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond, the Stig is a man shrouded in mystery, opting to have Clarkson introduce him with the phrase “Some say So the question has been around for years. What’s the deal with The Stig? Who is he? Where does he come from? Why does he love Ricky Martin?
Tons of questions and few answers. That is, until now.
See, the Stig now has a book. Well, actually it is a book about him called “The Stig. The Untold Story.” Apparently, he wasn’t a big fan of the project by publisher Ebury and, as the promo video shows, has gone to great lengths to ensure that the public doesn’t even sniff the pages of the book.
Some say he doesn’t like to have his private life cast into the public spotlight while others say he’s just doing it to further promote the book. As a man whose actions (probably) reflect his words, The Stig’s actions at a local Tesco market gives you a hint that there might be something about this book that he doesn’t want us to read.

At the 2011 SEMA Show, Bodie Stroud unveiled a bad-ass 494-cubic-inch-powered 1969 Mustang. Oh, and this is no normal 494 either, but we’ll get to that later. One year later the folks from Unionhz TV, under the direction of Julian King, have created an awesome called “The Real Thing” that presents the story behind this amazing project.
With his project, Bodie Stroud wanted to re-imagine a classic Mustang powered by an extremely rare and powerful engine built specifically for legendary racer Mario Andretti’s 1969 Can Am series race car. This all-aluminum 494-cubic-inch V-8 engine was so powerful that Ford never even attempted to transfer it to its road-going cars.
This movie follows all the steps required to develop this project, starting from the rendering phase all the way through its initial test drive and to its unveiling at the 2011 SEMA. Sit back, enjoy and you will learn about the hard work needed to develop such an amazing muscle car.

Chris Harris has shot another incredible video: he put a Porsche 911 GT2 RS and a Ducati 1199 Panigale in a drag race. A similar video was shot during the summer and the Porsche was actually destroyed. This second video was made to provide the Porsche with an opportunity to exact its revenge.
They went to a 2 mile runway to see what happens when you let a GT2 RS stretch beyond 150 mph, but the question is, what happened? Check out the video for the answer!
The Porsche 911 GT2 RS delivers an impressive 620 HP and sprints from 0 to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds. The Ducati 1199 Paningale, on the other hand, delivers a total of 195 HP, leaving the RS with a huge advantage. Will it help?
No bikers or drivers were hurt in the making of this film.
In 2011, Tasca Racing set out to make history by putting together a Cobra Jet tuning package that could establish a quarter mile run in the sevens. They fell a tad bit short, coming in at a still impressive 8.06 seconds at a speed of170 mph. That time alone was enough to make this Cobra Jet the fastest in the world, but Tasca wanted more.
The Tasca team headed back to the track in an attempt to break their own record. During a test session at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Florida, Tasca’s Cobra Jet not only smashed its own record, but also became the first to break the 8 second barrier: the car ran the quarter mile in 7.96 seconds at a speed of 174 mph. Shortly after establishing the new record, the Tasca Cobra Jet hit the England Dragway where it ran an incredible time of 7.848 seconds at a speed of 174.4 mph.
