Dodge Charger Hellcat due this fall – report
2015 Dodge Charger facelift
A full-size 707 bhp sedan
According to a new report, Dodge will introduce the Charger SRT Hellcat as early as this fall.
Several months ago Dodge applied a significant facelift on the Charger full-size sedan which in its most powerful configuration offers 370 bhp (276 kW) & 395 lb-ft (535 Nm) from a HEMI V8 5.7-liter engine in the R/T model. If that not’s enough, prepare for a “Hellcat” version packing the same mighty punch as the Challenger SRT Hellcat.
And by punch we mean a V8 6.2-liter supercharged motor unleashing no less than 707 bhp (527 kW) and a peak torque of 650 lb-ft (880 Nm). The engine will reportedly be offered only with an 8-speed automatic transmission channeling all that power to the rear axle.
It is believed the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat will be introduced sometime this fall and to our knowledge will be the world’s most powerful series production sedan.
